New Hampshire Paid Family and Medical Leave (NH PFML)
The New Hampshire Granite State Paid Family Leave Plan (NH PFML) will begin on January 1, 2023. The State will be providing paid family leave benefits to their state employees and created a paid family and medical leave program to encourage other public and private employers to participate. Individuals who do not have access through their employer’s program can also opt for insured coverage for both paid family leave (PFL) and paid medical leave (PML) benefits.

Group Insurance/Administration: Employers that sponsor NH PFML benefits per the statute must restore employees to the position the employee held prior to such leave or an equivalent position consistent with the job restoration provisions of the federal Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA).
